Just visited the MLK memorial. It's really a wonderful memorial. I feel lucky to live so close and have such amazing things to do after work.

Funny quotes heard around the Holma-Ritualo House

June 10, 2012 We were leaving the Nordstrom and Aidan asked very innocently "I know where your ribs are but where are your spareribs?" I cracked up and had to tell him that humans don't have spareribs.

Our latest treasure (September 20, 2011): we were standing in the kitchen and Leo asked his Dad to hold his ice cream cone. He then, threw his arms in the air and then lowered them and cris-crossed them in front of his body and said "Word". I then cris-crossed my arms over my body and said, "Word 'em up!" Aidan said, "No one says "up" any more that is so 1986."

Last night (July 6, 2011) Aidan asked if he could have a popsicle after dinner. Jason said "yes" and Aidan said "well it's not gonna walk itself over here Dad." What?!? When did our nice little polite boy get such a smart mouth on him? Actually we thought it was hilarious because he delivered it so well and Jason and I cracked up so hard we had tears in our eyes.

Tonight we were driving home from work and when we were getting out of the car we were looking up in the sky and trying to decide if the lights in the sky were stars or airplanes. Jason and I disagreed over one of the lights. I thought it was a star and Jason thought it was an airplane. Aidan sided with me and said, "It's a star, I can see the points." I thought it was cute. And, it was a star. 29Dec2010

We rented a car because our car was being repaired (don't get me started) and Aidan was asking about the band on the radio. We had an awesome Jetta with Satellite radio. He thought the band sounded like another band he knew but Jason said "The name of this band is Bush and the singer is British." Aidan then proceeded to say in his best British accent, "Hello Governor. Would you like an English muffin?" 21Dec2010

We're finishing up dinner and I asked Aidan to take his plate in the kitchen and put the food on his plate in the garbage and his plate in the sink. He yells from the kitchen, "Dad is growing a unibrow." Jason and I look at each other like "what the?!?" Jason asked Aidan if he knew what a unibrow was and he said matter of factly "no". Unibrow? Where did that come from? Hilarious. 11Aug2010

So...last Saturday and Sunday (7/24 & 7/25) they had "Christmas in July" on QVC. That means they had all these fun Christmas products on sale like Christmas trees, lights, candles, ornaments, etc. They also had "Santas Workshop" which had a bunch of toys. Leo, Aidan and I watched some of it this weekend. Yesterday (7/28) Leo finished watching a movie and Jason asked him what he wanted to watch next and he said "I want to watch Christmas in July". I love them!

We have a plumbing problem. Water is dripping from the bathtub upstairs, down the light fixture in dining room and pooling on the dining table. We were talking about the water coming down and Leo said:

"Is it going to make me die? Because I can't swim"
