For the last couple of years, since we started going to the Nats games more and more, my favorite player has been Jayson Werth. For my birthday I even got my first baseball jersey to wear to Nats games and yes, it says "Werth" on the back!
And boy did he show his Werth last night! Woo-Hoo!!

i'm sorry for you that the nationals couldn't hold on to the lead tonight. you are obviously a very devoted fan, the type of fan this franchise needs.
ReplyDeletehaving said that, i WAS cheering for the cardinals. yes, my bad. however, when you spend 35 years supporting the montreal expos only to have MLB (with the help of a$$hole jeffrey loria) yank your franchise away and move it to washington, dc, you will understand why i could never cheer for the washington nationals. but that's just me.
you should continue to support the local team ( and i think they may be the team of the future) because that's what baseball is all about. and jason werth, despite how he played at times this year, is a great player. be proud to wear that jersey. just maybe not around seattle....
